What's even more funny to me than the actual pictures themselves is how excited Tate was when he found this dress! If he were 10, it wouldn't have been quite so funny, but at 2...it's funny! He was upstairs playing with the girls and ran into the kitchen while I was on the phone holding it in is hand and jumping up and down. I assumed he thought it was a blankie because it is silky like his blankies. But he kept motioning for me to put it on him and was quite persistent about it.
The girls both came downstairs in their lovely ballgown attire and Reese proceeded to give Tate lessons on how to be a princess. "No Tate...princesses don't run." "Tate, princesses don't scream".

Feeling Convicted
Last year I threw an American Idol Finale Party and had some of my friends from work over to watch it. So I guess this year is technically my 2nd Annual American Idol Finale Party.
I have been gearing the girls up for it, getting them excited, and have also been giving David a hard time for not being in town and making me get ready for the shindig all by myself!
Tonight we were going over the plans for our day tomorrow...it's Reese's very last day of preschool and I know I am going to cry when I pick her up. So I prepared her that Mommy might be sad, but that we still had our party to look forward to.
After a brief second Reese asked, "Who's going to take us to church tomorrow since Daddy's gone?".
"Well..no one. We aren't going to church tomorrow night. We have our party remember?" I explained.
Without missing a missing a beat she replied, "Why do we have to miss the Word of Jesus for American Idol?".

Missing Daddy: Day 1
David is off to California for the week. As we were taking him to the airport this morning, he remarked that he didn't really care for travelling during nice weather. He feels like he is missing out on being able to be outside with the kiddos and stuff like that. Well, the rest of the family has decided...we don't really care for him to be gone during nice weather either. We couldn't just snuggle up on the couch and watch a movie, we had to head outside and everything reminded us of....DADDY!
Reese always chooses a stuffed animal for David to take on trips and his job is to take pictures of it doing fun stuff and e-mail those back to the kids. We decided to take some pictures of what we are up to and post them for David.
We were finished with supper already by 5pm so we headed to the park...

Happy Birthday Buddy!
Our little guy is 2 today! I officially no longer have any children whose age I can refer to in "months". When people ask how old my kids are I am used to rattling off things like "4, 2, and 13 months" or "5, 3, and 18 months". etc. No longer. What a milestone.
We spent the afternoon at the Legends today and went to eat at the T Rex Restaurant. Tate took turns holding on to David and I for dear life and exclaiming "Dino!" over and over again.
Hard to believe he'll be as big, or bigger than Daddy someday!
My little family.
Clowning around.
Look of horror/uncertainty at the birthday ensemble that came to sing to him.

We love you little guy! All the rambunctious, ornery, cuddly, snuggly, giggly parts of you! Happy Happy Birthday!
