Let's try this again...

Technically, it has been a year since I started blogging. Last August, after becoming quite intrigued by reading other blogs, I decided to "take the plunge" and start my own. My perseverance and determination in this new endeavor lasted for.....ONE POST! Over the past year, I have continued to read a handful of blogs I find interesting, and have encountered quite a few life circumstances that were "blogworthy" but I just let my own go by the wayside.

So, I'm starting anew, and afresh (not sure if that's really a word) but you get the idea. I'd just like a place to come and recount the days, or weeks events, lest they be forgotten. My kids really do say, and do, the darndest (that's about as profane as this blog will get) things and I never take the time to write them down on paper, so I can have something to look back on, to laugh and cry over, once they all leave the nest to begin their own lives. Which probably won't be happening for, oh, another 18 years or so.

I don't know all the neat computer dynamics of posting links and pictures, but hopefully I'll learn as I go along. I have no idea if there is book of "Blog Etiquette" that I am supposed to follow, so forgive me, if I commit a serious faux pas in this regard.

Is this where I'm supposed to introduce myself to give you all a little insight into where my writing perspective comes from? Well, here goes.....I just turned 3-0 (that still seems so strange to say out loud). I have been married to my husband, David, for 8 years. We have three children....Reese, our oldest daughter, who will turn 4 this Fall, Drue, our second daughter, who will turn 2 this Fall, and Tate, our son, who was born this past May. I work 2 days a week at a nursing home in the Admissions department.

I'm a Christian (oh, I suppose that probably should have been at the beginning of my list of descriptors). I admire these Proverbs 31 type women I encounter. I, myself, unfortunately, am more like the Proverbs 27 type woman....
"A quarrelsome wife is like a constant dripping on a rainy day; restraining her is like restraining the wind or grasping oil with the hand." Proverbs 27:15-16

Ok, well, maybe I'm not that bad, but I definitely have room for improvement in the "wife of noble character" role.

So, that's me in a nutshell. Now if you happen to read any future posts (hopefully I'll publish more than
one this year), you'll have a better understanding of where I'm coming from.

good luck with your blogging. I started a blog a couple of years ago and let it die and then I started again. It was easier the second time

Looks good. I can't wait to read about your kids. Are you going to do pictures. You are a great writer. Just write from the heart and remember someday you can copy them all off the computer and have a diary of your life--things you wouldn't remember.

I can't wait for the girls to be older and have them look back over this site! It will be great for us all to make fun of the crazy things mom wrote.
